I have many feelings after I read this article. Firstly, I
think the attitudes about a person have a great influence on her/his
achievement. Hattie was so tough and strict with her students, anyone who can’t
fulfill her requirements wouldn’t skip to the next learning tasks. And her
behavior let me think about an old proverb in China, “The stricter teacher you
have, the better achievement you will gain.” I had a tough Chinese teacher in
my primary school, she also very strict with my usage of words, phrases,
sentences, and grammar. Even she could require me to write the wrong words twenty
times or more. I have once thought this behavior was just a waste of time. But
Because I continued to revise my mistakes, now I can rarely make the same
mistake. In addition to this, I learn that we need pay more attention to our
profession quality. We need to spend more time on caring about our dressing of a specific situation and
thinking about how to manage time well. Thirdly, I am so moved of Hattie.
She treated the students as her children, so her students would cherish her so
much after her died. Last but not the least, I think are the fundamentals. In
the contemporary society, many people just busy with their career blindly. They don't realize the most basic part of success are the fundamentals. A student, company, nation,
even a country couldn’t live well without the fundamentals. History proves that.Also.
we need to return back to our root, using the traditional ways again. We need to get more knowledge
about different fields, including literacy, arithmetic, church and so on, realizing the
importance about the fundamentals, thereby making us a better future!
